The recent US Africa Summit initiated by President Biden has put Africa and its people and resources back in global focus. The Indian G20 has followed on – by also signifying the importance of Africa in global affairs. The B20 ( business grouping) announcing the formation of an Action Council on African Economic Integration, chaired by industrialist leader Sunil Bharti Mittal and consisting of around one hundred experts. eNotus co founder Reymond Voutier has joined the council and participated in the initial meeting of members. Mr Voutier was engaged in the early 2000s in a number of initiatives in Africa with various US bodies engaged with African economic development and the UNDP. He worked closely with officials of the Office of the Special Advisor on Africa to the Secretary General at the UN and visited many countries across the continent meeting with government leaders and NEPAD officials early in its formation.
